In short

Electrician I used for my first HDB reno — clearer pricing than the contractor’s recommended option.

What they do

An electrician runs wiring through your home so lights, power points, switches, and appliances connect safely to the supply. They also work on the distribution board (DB), fix trips, and plan where points should go before walls close up.

My experience

I found TK Electricians through a Facebook group during my 2015 Sengkang HDB renovation. The electrician recommended by the main contractor quoted $4k+ with little advice — just do whatever points we asked for and charge. TK came in more competitively at $3k+ for the electrical scope. They have grown a lot more doing more scope. I did engage them again for my EC move in but price was a little higher than expected.
