Short version
The extension clips order details from shopping pages you already have open, keeps them in this browser, and lets you export a spreadsheet on your machine. I do not run a server for it. There is no account, no upload, and no analytics inside the extension.
Who this is
Taobao 3PF Helper is a Chrome extension I built while remodeling in Singapore and ordering from Taobao. I publish it as renodirectly. Contact: hello@renodirectly.com.
What the extension reads
Only when you are on a supported shopping site and you clip a page or an order. It does not run on your other tabs.
- Taobao, Tmall, Tmall HK, 1688, and JD order or product pages
- Order ID, order date, shop name, item title, SKU, quantity, unit price, amount paid, status
- Courier name and waybill / tracking number, when visible
- Item URL, item ID, and product image URL
- Notes you type into the ledger yourself
To fill a hidden waybill it may call Taobao's own transit lookup while you are logged in, using the cookies already in that tab. It does not send those cookies to me.
Where it is stored
Everything stays in Chrome's chrome.storage.local on your computer. Language preference is stored the same way. Nothing is written to renodirectly.com, Google Drive, or any other host.
If you export Excel, CSV, JSON, or copy for Excel, that file is created on your device. What you do with it after that is up to you.
What is not collected
- No account, email, or phone number
- No payment card details
- No advertising or usage analytics in the extension
- No sale or sharing of order data with third parties
- No posting into a logistics company's warehouse site — this is only a local ledger
Permissions
Chrome will show these when you install. Each one maps to a job in the extension:
- storage — save the ledger and settings on this device
- sidePanel — open the ledger beside the shopping tab
- activeTab / scripting — read the current shopping page when you click Clip
- taobao.com, tmall.com, tmall.hk, 1688.com, jd.com, jd.hk — content script on those sites only, to parse orders and look up waybills
- alicdn.com — load product thumbnails in the popup and ledger
How long it stays
Until you delete rows, clear the ledger, or uninstall the extension. Uninstalling removes the stored ledger with the extension. I cannot see or recover it.
This website is separate
Visiting renodirectly.com is not the same as using the extension. The site may use analytics and, if you sign up, store your email for the mailing list. The extension does not use those systems and does not send them your Taobao orders.
Children
The extension is meant for people managing their own shopping and warehouse shipments. It is not directed at children.
Changes
If the extension starts handling data differently, I will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the extension listing.
