Diagram of a home distribution board with breakers

In short

The metal board that holds your breakers — the heart of the home’s circuits.

Notes

The distribution board (DB) is where incoming power is split into circuits, each with its own MCB and usually RCD/RCCB protection.

During reno, electricians may add ways (slots), relabel circuits, or replace an old board. Label clarity matters later when something trips.
