GlossaryElectricalLighting point
Lighting point
Switches Lighting · Also: Light point, Ceiling point
In short
A prepared ceiling or wall position where a light fitting will be connected.
Notes
A lighting point is the wired outlet for a lamp — usually a loop of cable ending where the fitting hangs or mounts. You still choose the actual pendant, downlight, or wall light later.
On drawings, count lighting points separately from switches. One point can be controlled by one or more switches.
