In short

The three conductors in normal Singapore wiring — brown live, blue neutral, green/yellow earth.

Notes

Live (line) carries current to the load, neutral returns it, earth is the safety path. Modern colour codes: brown = live, blue = neutral, green-and-yellow = earth.

Older installations may still show red/black colours. Never assume — isolate and test before touching.
