Notes
A single socket (often called a single power point in Singapore) has one outlet on the faceplate. Use it where you only need one plug — for example a fridge, washing machine, or a dedicated appliance.
In local reno talk you will still hear “power point” more often than “socket”. Same thing: the wall outlet your plug goes into.
